Scott Bass lives with his wife, Roberta Mothershead, at Nazareth House, a rather contemplative, Catholic Worker-style community in Raleigh, NC that provides friendship and support for people on death row and their families - among other things. Scott is an ordained Baptist minister in full communion with the Catholic Church and he also counts Quakers among his deepest influences. He enjoys teaching, preaching, counseling and offering spiritual guidance and finds balance in outdoor work and play. |

Chanequa Walker-Barnes serves on the faculty of Shaw University Divinity School as assistant professor of pastoral care and counseling. She received Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and African-American and African Studies from Emory University, master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Miami, and a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. She is pursuing ordination as an elder in the United Methodist Church. She lives in Durham, NC, with her husband Delwin. |

Sam Ewell joined SFC in September 2007 as its missionary/Latin American director. Sam has taught in the United States and has lived in Londrina, Brazil for the past four years. He is married to Brazilian theologian, Rosalee Velloso Ewell, and they have three children: James, Isabella, and Katharine. |
